These Aren't Your Average "Slobalts"

As you will learn, I am a huge car buff. Although I am not totally into the new "Stance" movement happening in car culture, I do like a car with wheels that fill the wheel wells properly.

Seeing as I own a 2010 Cobalt SS Turbo, I felt it was fitting that I post some pics of guys who are pushing the envelope with these cars. What is most impressive is that with our 5x110 wheel hubs and lack of support from most aftermarket suspension companies, it takes A LOT of extra work to achieve these aggressive looks.

View the pics of these highly underrated cars after the jump.

The first car is one of the more famous in the Cobalt community. William Beck, otherwise knows as ls1fbody on cobaltss.net, was the first road going Cobalt owner to receive the Grand Am hub swap. This allowed him to ditch the rare 5x110 lug pattern and run the very popular 5x114.3. The next step was installing the highly sought after Enkei RPF1's. I want these rims so bad for my car.

He has recently picked up some spacers and has lowered the car even more. Not a fan of tucking tire, but if that's your thing then go for it.

These 80's Corvette rims are much better suited to another Chevy, than the VW's that seem to love using them.

BBS' on a Cobalt? Damn right.

Another Balt on RFP1's, this time using adaptors.

Another yellow Cobalt, this one is from Dominic Gianco , otherwise known as DOMDOTCOM. He's also using wheel hub adaptors and sitting on Volk TE37 replicas. This was just finished very recently, so the ride height isn't perfect yet, but you can still tell that this thing is going to look amazing.

Here are some pics of DOMDOTCOM and William Beck's cars together. Cali is pushing the envelope for the Cobalt stance community.

I'm looking forward to seeing more from these guys, and from the Cobalt camp in general. Those who know cars, know that these are great handling, fast cars, so it's about time that people started paying attention to them.

Also, check out www.cloudydayscrew.com for more from Dominic. He is a great photographer in the stance scene so expect big things from him.

EDIT: Speedhunters has posted pics of the yellow twins from a meet in SoCal.
